Hi, I’m Alex, a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist from Australia who recently moved to Canada for the amazing outdoorsy lifestyle! I love working with children and have a special interest in neurodiversity-affirming practice, AAC and language development. I take a child- and family-centred approach, tailoring therapy to each child’s individual strengths, interests and needs. I’m passionate about making therapy fun, engaging and meaningful, and helping every child find their own way to communicate.

I have over three years of experience working with children from infancy through to 16 years old, supporting families with a wide range of communication needs.

I have extensive experience working with autistic and ADHD children and have supported children with speech sound disorders, language difficulties, childhood apraxia of speech, social communication differences (including supper with self advocacy), and Gestalt Language Processing profiles. I have also worked extensively with AAC and have additional training and experience supporting literacy development.

I am in the process of registering with the College of Health and Care Providers of BC, and until this is confirmed will be working as an SLP assistant.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me hiking, camping, or exploring somewhere new!
