Our Story
Why I Started Little Peak Therapy
My introduction to pediatric therapy didn’t begin in a classroom—it began at home. I watched my brother receive support from a team of occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists. But what stuck with me most wasn’t just the strategies they used—it was their creativity, their warmth, and how they made therapy feel like a natural part of everyday life.
Therapy didn’t only happen in a clinic. It happened in our kitchen, on the bus, while riding bikes, or cooking dinner. It met us where we were and supported what mattered most. That early experience shaped how I saw this work. I learned that therapy isn’t about fixing—it’s about connecting. It’s not about ticking boxes—it’s about building real-world skills that help people live fuller, more meaningful lives.
Years later, I became an occupational therapist and started helping children and adults through my first practice, Pacific Peak Therapy. I travelled from homes to community spaces, even working out of my car—meeting clients wherever they needed support. I loved being able to show up for people in real, flexible ways. But over time, I felt that something was missing. I wasn’t grounded in a community in the way I wanted to be.
When I became a mom, everything shifted. Being pregnant and raising my children on the North Shore brought me closer to local families. I found myself answering questions, offering guidance, and feeling deeply connected to other parents navigating similar paths. I realized I didn’t just want to support individuals—I wanted to build a community. A place that nurtured not just kids, but the people around them too. That’s why I started Little Peak Therapy.
Little Peak is more than a clinic—it’s a warm, welcoming space where children can play, explore, and grow through therapy that feels joyful and safe. It’s a space where parents are seen and supported, not left out or overwhelmed. Therapy here is playful and purposeful, rooted in respect and connection.
If you’re navigating a new diagnosis, unsure where to begin, or looking for therapy that truly sees your child for who they are—you’ve found the right place.
