Understanding, Support, and Care That Grow with Your Child
Starting therapy on the North Shore isn’t only your child’s journey — it’s yours as well. We’re here to help you both move forward.
What to Expect as a Parent
What the First Step Looks Like
We begin with a free 15-minute discovery call. It’s your chance to share concerns, ask questions, and get a feel for how we work. No diagnosis or referral is needed. Just a sense that your child might need some extra support.
At Little Peak Therapy, we walk alongside families with clarity, compassion, and connection.
The First Session
In your first visit:
-
Through our initial assessment we spend time getting to know your child through gentle, play-based interaction.
-
We observe and connect, without pressure.
-
You’ll speak with the therapist about your goals, concerns, and next steps.
We focus on building trust and comfort. This creates a strong foundation for meaningful growth.

What Parents Often As
-
“Is this just a phase, or should I be concerned?”
-
“How do I even know what kind of therapy my child needs?”
-
“I just want my child to feel confident and connected.”
We hear these questions every day—and they matter. You don’t need all the answers right now. You just need a place that sees your child’s strengths and supports their growth. That’s what we do.
