Katie Lanigan
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Hi, my name is Katie! I’m a speech-language pathologist with over 8 years of experience supporting children and their families. I use a client- and family-centred, play-based approach to therapy, with a focus on building engagement and supporting meaningful communication and language development. I value building strong relationships with children and families and tailoring therapy to each child’s unique strengths, interests, and needs.
I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia after completing a degree in Education and working as an elementary school teacher for six years. I have experience supporting children with expressive and receptive language, articulation, motor speech, fluency, and social communication. I also have experience working with neurodiverse clients and children with Down syndrome and cleft palate. In addition to my pediatric experience, I have worked with adults with acquired communication difficulties following stroke and brain injury.
I live in Vancouver with my husband and two children. Outside of the clinic, you’ll find me singing, dancing, and biking throughout Vancouver!
