Hi, I’m Kayley! I am an Australian registered Occupational Therapist (OT) currently living in North Vancouver, where I am working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). I completed my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of South Australia in 2021.

Over the past five years, I have supported children and families across a range of paediatric settings including schools, early learning centres, home and community environments throughout South Australia. I have also had the opportunity to work within special education schools in London, which further strengthened my passion for supporting children with diverse needs in meaningful and individualised ways.

My approach is child-led, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, with a strong focus on building trusting relationships and creating a safe and supportive environment where children feel valued, understood, and empowered to be themselves. I believe in working alongside children and families to support meaningful participation in everyday life while honouring each child’s unique ways of learning, communicating, regulating, and engaging with the world around them.

I particularly enjoy incorporating movement-based activities, play, and sensory regulation strategies into sessions to support emotional regulation, motor development, confidence, independence, and connection. I aim to make therapy fun, engaging, and collaborative while helping children experience success in ways that are meaningful and achievable for them.

Since recently relocating to Canada, I have loved exploring everything that British Columbia has to offer. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me hiking, spending time outdoors, discovering new places, and soaking up the sunshine.
