Kendra Carr-Bourque
Occupational Therapist (OT)

Hi, I’m Kendra! I am passionate about supporting children and families through neurodiversity-affirming, play-based care. I believe in meeting each child where they’re at and value collaborating closely with families. Using connection, curiosity, and creativity, I aim to create a safe and inclusive space where children can build confidence, grow, and thrive.
I completed my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto and have a Bachelor of Kinesiology from Vancouver Island University.
I have completed additional training in Sensory Regulation (BEST approach) and neurodiversity affirming/strengths-based approaches for supporting Autistic children. Before becoming an OT, I worked as an OT assistant, behaviour interventionist, soccer coach, and coach for PacificSport Vancouver Island WheelKids. Adapting these activities to be inclusive of a wide range of abilities, helping children participate in ways that felt meaningful and empowering inspired my journey to becoming an OT. I’ve supported children with diverse needs, including autism, spina bifida, ADHD, and cerebral palsy, through play and meaningful activities that encourage participation and confidence.
These experiences shaped my strengths-based, playful approach to therapy, where participation and enjoyment are just as important as building confidence and independence.
When I’m not at the clinic, I’m usually outdoors, on a soccer field, at yoga, attempting to ski, or putting my trust in AllTrails ‘easy’ hikes around North Vancouver. I also love spending time with my dog, Willow, who is always ready for an adventure.
